Web Controlled Camera

This project focuses on Raspberry Pi Camera Web control. The project focuses on utilizing Raspberry Pi camera modules and a web interface to create a user-friendly way to control and manage the camera. The camera is a great way to monitor my 3d prints without being there physically. It is also possible to capture, stream and manage the images and videos. Therefore it could be a nice addition if you are looking to stream nature scenes or use it as a webcam.

The project utilizes a Raspberry Pi 5 and Arducam Pi Camera Module 3.

Using these and some other components such as a fan and case, we are able to construct a Pi camera!

A complete Pi setup and a 3D printed adjustable stand.

Using a STL file acquired online, I was able to create a stand for the camera that could be angled to suit my needs. I also have used some command tape to attach the camera module to the Pi, that way it is more stable.

An example of how the web interface works.

After some setup with python and tweaking some system settings, we are able to have the Pi boot into a streaming camera. No longer is an attached display needed. See how the web interface is able to fully control camera settings.

A downloadable image gallery.

Once a photo has been taken on the camera, it is stored in a gallery on the Pi. The web UI allows us to download these photos onto our accessing device.

Using OBS we are able to create a stream outside of our local network.

We can do this by accessing the video stream browser our Pi has created. By inputting the browser as a source on OBS we are able to both record and stream its contents.

The timelapse is condensed to a couple minutes from 7 hours. The print here is actually the adjustable stand for the Pi camera.
